What's the Worst Gift You've Received?

Some gifts aren't even worth re-gifting.

When it comes to giving gifts, it may be the thought that counts, but some givers clearly put very little thought into it.

Be it a Chia Pet, a regifted fruit cake or a bad holiday sweater, we know you've all had something that falls into the "worst gift" category.

What is your worst Christmas gift? Tell us in the comments.

The 1st year we were married my husband received a bottle of dry gas from my Aunt and Uncle and my grandmothers old Christmas tree stand from her. He always jokes that he felt so loved and welcomed by my family. LOL

I don't even know what a bottle of dry gas is, but that made me laugh!

Fruitcake, the gift that keeps on giving! Re-gift it and no one is the wiser. They stopped making them 10 years ago, and all that are being giving, are the same ones, re-gifted. But at least they ferment.

I'll chime in: a half-eaten box of chocolates...and the ones eaten were the only ones I like! The coconut ones!

A well wrapped envelope from a "mysterious" person that was on my Christmas tree for a week... It contained my Jury Summons.

At a recent Yankee Swap, I brought a well-thought out package containing things to keep someone warm during a New England winter and received a box of tea bags...a very nice, metal box with linen bags in a pyramid shape that I was thrilled with, as I love tea and these would have been great. Then, when I got home, my husband asked if I saw the "Best if used by" date. It was 2005! I emailed the company and they said their tea has a three-year shelf life, so the box was ten years old! (And no, the company did not offer to make good; not even a discount)

A pair of neon-green knee highs. The ones where you buy a package of 10 at the dollar store and split them up into gifts for 10 people. Meanwhile, the gift-giver then jets off to Paris decked out in the finest clothing which by the way does not include wearing neon-green knee highs. Thanks Auntie :/
