Nine vehicles -- mostly unlocked -- were broken into in Westborough overnight this weekend, Police Chief Alan Gordon said today.

"The Westborough Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles," Gordon said in a press release.

Five vehicles on Mohawk Circle, three on Hadley Lane and one on Milk Street were broken into, Gordon said. Police received calls about the incidents Sunday.

"Items stolen from these vehicles were GPS devices, a pair of binoculars and gift cards," he said.

"A pocketbook and personal papers were also taken from a vehicle."
