The head of a Westborough-based pharmaceuticals firm will make a presentation at a biotech conference next week.

RXI Pharmaceuticals Corp. President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Geert Cauwenbergh will give a webcast on "the development of RXI-109, a self-delivering RNAi compound designed to reduce dermal scarring, as well as business development opportunities with RXi’s sd-rxRNA technology platform" on Tuesday at the Biotech Showcase 2013 Conference, set for Monday through Wednesday in San Francisco, Calif., RXI said today in a press release.

RXI's corporate headquarters are at 1500 West Park Drive, Suite 210.

The company focuses on "discovering, developing and commercializing innovative therapies based on its proprietary, next-generation RNAi platform," according to its website.
