This week, we have 156 followers Twitter, with numbers growing every day.

  • A lot of us remember the fun summer nights watching fireworks at . The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts were part of the clean up after an evening with blankets of families spread around the campus. The mention of it brought in a quick 18 “likes” and a half dozen comments. Nancy Ward noted, “Those were the good old days – the days before over development.” Five fans agreed.
  • A quick post mentioning the success of the annual Fourth of July Block Party earned 11 thumbs-up.
  • The link to the Westborough Patch photo gallery from the first Westborough Farmers’ Market was popular, with four “likes” and a couple of glowing comments for the market. Just the mention of the farmers’ market on Facebook earlier in the day garnered four thumbs-up!

Our social media page of the week belongs to the Highland Street Foundation. This organization has been generously funding free admission to Massachusetts cultural outlets throughout the summer. Coming up on Friday, July 8, the foundation will pay for all admissions to Plimoth Plantation, the Worcester Art Museum, the Cape Cod Museum of Art and the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Learn more about this opportunity to share the best of Massachusetts with your family – and stay within your summer budget!
