No Frozen Pipes Yet

Temperatures around 20 degrees are expected Thursday and Friday.

Westborough's water pipes have withstood the extreme cold blanketing the region this week, Public Works Manager John Walden said today.

"We are unaware of any shallow water services," he said.

"People should make sure their outside faucets are turned off in the cellar if they don't have the frost free faucets, and check for cold drafts near water lines in their cellars."

Temperatures haven't broken out of the 20s the last two days.

The sign at Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough reported the temperature was 14 degrees at 3:18 this afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Taunton forecasts Thursday's high near 20 degrees, and Friday's high near 21.

Snow is possible Friday night into Saturday morning.
