More EEE Mosquitoes Found in Westborough

Spraying of Summer Street Extension planned for Thursday.

More mosquitoes with the Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus have been found in Westborough, prompting more spraying Thursday, Central Mass. Mosquito Control Project Executive Director Timothy Deschamps said today.

The latest EEE mosquitoes were confirmed earlier today in a mosquito control project trap off Summer Street Extension on July 27, Deschamps said in a press release.

The spraying has been coordinated with the Westborough Board of Health, he wrote.

Deschamps also is urging residents to take precautions when outside.

Spraying will occur in Westborough for the second time this week.

The Milk Street area was sprayed Monday because mosquitoes with EEE were identified last Thursday in a trap the mosquito control project set there July 17.
