Logs: OUI, Larceny, Assault and Battery

These are the Westborough related cases for the past week as they appeared in the logs of the Westborough District Court.

Monday, Feb. 6

Steven D. Ayres, 44, of 73 East Main St., Westborough, was summonsed to court on a complaint issued Jan. 28 by Westborough police and charged with OUI liquor second offense and failure to stop/yield. Judge Robert Gardner continued the case to March 14.

Wednesday, Feb. 8

Brian E. Gernich, 43, 6 South Cambridge St., Worcester, was summonsed to Westborough District Court on Aug. 18 after Westborough police filled out a complaint, charging Gernich with larceny under $250 (four counts), shoplifting over $100 by concealing merchandise. Judge Vito Virzi found Gernich guilty of larceny and sentenced him to 148 days in the House of Correction.

Micaela E. Twohig, 24, 17 Gay St., Marlborough, was summonsed to Westborough District Court on Dec. 12 when Westborough police filled out a complaint for unregistered motor vehicle, suspended registration and uninsured motor vehicle. The charges were dismissed upon $200 in fees.

Calvin L. Vega, 26, 67 Howard St., Milford, was summonsed to Westborough District Court when Grafton police filled out a complaint for an offense in Westborough, charging Vega with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charge of negligent operation upon payment of fees of $200, found him responsible for marked lanes violation and charged $100, and found him responsible for speeding, charging Vega $250 in fees.

Thursday, Feb. 9

Ravi K. Edasuryachandra, 39, of 135 E. Main St., Apt. R1, Westborough, was summonsed into court after Westborough police filled out a criminal complaint on Dec. 12  and was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage and failure to yield at an intersection. The case was continued until Feb. 29.

Friday, Feb. 10

Nicole A. Sarver, 26, of 6 Walker St., Westborough, was arrested by Shrewsbury police on Dec. 18 and charged with domestic assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi dismissed the charges.

David M. Bartlett, 30, of 8 Steven Rd., Westborough, was arrested by Westborough police on Dec. 24 and charged with nighttime breaking and entering into a building for felony, malicious destruction of property over $250, breaking into a depository and larceny over $250. He was charged after a break-in at the Shell gas station at the corner of Lyman Street and Turnpike Road. According to the police report filed by Det. Gary Hassett, Barlett returned $245 of the stolen $500 and provided police with latex gloves that he used during the robbery. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to Feb. 27.
