Logs: 2 Wanted Suspects Arrested

The following information was obtained from the logs of the Westborough Police and Fire departments and scanner reports. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Here are excerpts from the Westborough police and fire logs. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests; other than that, we pick out incidents you might find interesting.

Monday, Jan. 9

11:39 a.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on Oak Street. Westborough paramedics and Officer Leeanne Baker assisted. A patient was taken to the hospital.

1:55 p.m.: Emergency medical services were requested for an elderly woman who fell and was injured at the on Lyman Street. Westborough paramedics and Officer Terry Peters helped at the scene. The woman was taken to a hospital.

4:10 p.m.: A hit and run crash was reported near the on Connector Road. The woman reporting the crash said a woman was driving the car that fled from the scene. She said the car continued toward Flanders Road. Officer Tyson Delong investigated. A field interrogation report was filed.

5:47 p.m.: Officer Michael Daniels made an arrest on Turnpike Road. ARRESTED: Isabel Omar Leiva, 28, 71 Southgate St., Apt. 2, Worcester. CHARGES: Accessory before the fact of a masked armed robbery, accessory after the fact of a masked armed robbery.

9:25 p.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on Lawton’s Way. Westborough paramedics and Officer Michael Daniels assisted. A patient was taken to the hospital.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

1:13 a.m.: Officer Christopher Atchue investigated a suspicious vehicle on South Street.

6:30 a.m.: Officer Christopher Atchue issued a traffic citation on Turnpike Road.

7:43 a.m.: Officer Christopher Atchue and Sgt. Glenn McLeod responded to a reported burglary and breaking and entering on Lyman Street. A field interrogation report was filed.

9:27 a.m.: A crash was reported on Connector Road. Officer Jeffrey Keaveney and Sgt. Jonathan Kalagher assisted at the scene. A field interrogation report was filed.

11:07 a.m.: Westborough police received a report that a bike was spotted in the woods on Nash Street and had been there “for a while.” Officer Terry Peters helped with a field interrogation report.

1:57 p.m.: A hit and run crash was reported on Colonial Drive. A driver reportedly hit a car in the parking lot of . Sgt. Todd Rossi investigated. A field interrogation report was filed.

2:20 p.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on a man who reportedly fell, was unconscious and bleeding on Fox Lane. Westborough paramedics and Officer Jeffrey Keaveney responded. The man was taken to a hospital.

2:25 p.m.: Westborough police received a report of a crash in the parking lot of Starbucks on Turnpike Road. The caller said that the person who caused the crash refused to give up information and went inside Julio’s Liquors. Police were able to trace the license plate number to a resident of Westborough. Sgt. Jonathan Kalagher assisted at the scene. A field interrogation report was filed.

4:18 p.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on Oak Street. Westborough paramedics, Officer Jeffrey Johnson, Officer Clifford Luce and Sgt. Peter Goodney helped at the location. A patient was taken to the hospital.

5:45 p.m.: A crash was reported on Jacob Amsden Road. Officer Clifford Luce investigated. A field interrogation report was filed.

8:54 p.m.: Officers Richard Trainor and Jeffrey Johnson responded to a report that a group of suspicious teens were gathered in two white cars on Beach Street. The officers broke up the gathering.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

7:32 a.m.: A deer was struck and killed on Lyman Street. Officer Christopher Atchue assisted in locating the animal and contacting the Animal Control Officer.

8:24 a.m.: Emergency medical services were requested for a crash on Route 495 north, just before Route 9. Westborough paramedics helped at the scene.

1:31 p.m.: Officer Jeffrey Keaveney investigated a report of suspicious liquid in a container outside of on East Main Street. It was reported not to be hazardous.

1:47 p.m.: Officer Terry Peters responded to a person who went to the police station on West Main Street to report a possible break in. A field interrogation report was filed.

4:04 p.m.: Sgt. Glenn McLeod, Officer Jeffrey Johnson and Sgt. Peter Goodney assisted in capturing and arresting a known fugitive from justice. ARRESTED: Darryl G. Rivernider, 66, 20 Carron Lane, Oxford. CHARGES: Fugitive from justice on court warrant, 5 counts.

6:30 p.m.: A crash was reported on Turnpike Road. Officer Jeffrey Johnson helped at the scene. A field interrogation report was filed.

Thursday, Jan. 12

1:59 a.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on Byard Lane. Westborough paramedics and Officer Dean Paine investigated. A patient was taken to the hospital.

6:44 a.m.: A crash was reported at the intersection of Adams and West Main Street where a car reportedly spun out on the ice. Sgt. Chester Hallice and Officer Dean Paine assisted at the location of the spinout.

8:43 a.m.: A two car crash was reported on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported. Officer Jeffrey Johnson helped at the scene. A field interrogation report was filed.

9:12 a.m.: Emergency medical services were requested for an elderly woman with a swollen leg who was reporting severe pain. Westborough paramedics and Officer Clifford Luce investigated. The woman was taken to a hospital.

1:16 p.m.: A minor two car crash was reported near the intersection of Route 9 and Lyman Street. Officer Jeffrey Johnson responded. A field interrogation report was filed.

1:25 p.m.: Emergency medical services were requested for a child who was not feeling well on Turnpike Road. Westborough paramedics and Officer Clifford Luce assisted. The child was taken to a hospital.

4:32 p.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on Old Colony Drive for a person who was choking. Westborough paramedics and Officer Leeanne Baker helped at the home.

7:01 p.m.: A crash was reported at the intersection of East Main and Lyman streets. Officer Micahel Daniels investigated.

8:08 p.m.: Officer Richard Trainor responded to a report that cars were parked on both sides of the road at the intersection of Health and Church streets. The cars were gone when the officer arrived.
