Live Music is Playing All Weekend

Westborough Patch helps answer the question, "What are we going to do this weekend?"

It’s that time of week again where you're getting psyched for the weekend, but you're just not sure what you're gonna do. 

Westborough Patch is here to help solve that problem.

Here's a list of things that might pique your interest for this coming weekend.

1. On Friday, March 11, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., will host its first of many Open Mic night’s. No matter what your talent, they want to see it. If you have a bad case of stage fright, then stop by to watch and support other local talents. You might just see your neighbor playing the nose flute. Registration begins at 5:45 p.m. And on Saturday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., you can catch Phil and Trish Knudsen, as they combine acoustic guitar, sweet vocals and poetry, for an evening of musical harmony, as part of the Tatnuck Music Series. You'll hear some original songs, as well as covers of familiar tunes.
2. At the , 206 Turnpike Rd., Westborough, on Saturday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m., listen to the duo that is Chet Williamson and Steve Cancelli, as they master the chromatic harmonica and guitar, bringing you the sweet sounds of classic swing, Indigo blues and harmonica favorites. This event is free.

3. The , 17 Willow St., Westborough, is hosting a benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on Saturday, March 12 from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The event will feature The Bruce Mandaro Band with special guests, Ed & Dave and Friends. There will be a cash bar and raffles. Doors open at 7:30. A donation of $10 is suggested.

4. The Celtic Tavern, 45 Belmont St., Northborough, helps you celebrate St. Paddy's Day a little early with traditional Irish and Scottish Celtic music by The Jolly Beggars on Saturday, March 12, 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Grab a Guinness and get your jig on.

5. JJ's Sports Bar and Grille, 380 Southwest Cutoff, Northborough, has live entertainment all weekend. On Friday, March 11, you can catch rock cover band Usually Normal at 9 p.m. On Saturday, March 12, at 9 p.m., shine up the dance floor with Spitshine, a popular, seasoned, five-piece classic and current rock cover band.
