Grade 6 Boys Travel Team Edged in State Hoop Finals

The Westborough Sixth Grade Boys A travel basketball team earned two titles this season before losing in the A Division state finals to Franklin, 74-69, in overtime at Mass Premier Courts in Mansfield on Sunday night, Head Coach Peter Casparriello says.
Westborough finished the regular season in first place, with a 10-2 record, Casparriello says.
Westborough then won the Sixth Grade Division 1 MetroWest League championship, defeating Southborough, Weston and Brookline in the playoffs.
Westborough defeated Wachusett and Groton-Dunstable in the state tournament to reach the state finals, Casparriello says.
