A small dump truck plow ignited behind NAPA Auto Parts on East Main Street this morning, and was destroyed, Westborough Fire Capt. Calvin Lawrence said.
NAPA employees saw the fire and notified the fire department around 8:30 a.m., Lawrence said.
The plow's driver said he had been plowing residential streets when he "blew his transmission" and parked the truck behind NAPA, at 44 East Main St., Lawrence said.
"The next thing he knew, he looked and saw it was on fire," Lawrence said.
