Driver in Sunday's Rotary Crash 'Failed to Yield', Police Say

Paramedics examined both drivers at the scene.

One driver "failed to yield" to a vehicle in the Westborough rotary before striking it and then a parked car on Sunday, Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon said today.

Diane G. Dak, 56, of 467 Amherst Road, Sunderland was driving a 2009 Suburu west on East Main Street shortly before the 2:35 p.m. accident, Gordon said in a press release.

So far, Officer Terry Peters' investigation has revealed that Dak "failed to yield" to a 2012 Suburu driven by Joseph A. Pryharski, 17, of 12 Appleseed Drive, Westborough, Gordon said.

Pryharski "was within the rotary heading onto Milk Street," Gordon said. Dak's car then struck a parked 1999 Lincoln owned by Mary O’Regan of 83 West Main St., Westborough.

Westborough Fire Department paramedics examined Dak and Pryharski at the scene.

All three vehicles received "considerable damage," Gordon said.
