An investigation followed, spearheaded by Sgt. Michael Hill of the MSP Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. A trace of the target computer IP address led police to the Cold Harbor Drive residence.

On Feb. 2, MSP Trooper Patrick McStay applied for and was granted a warrant to search the Cold Harbor Drive home, where Lundberg lives with his parents. Troopers from the MSP and Northborough police executed a search shortly before 6 p.m.

The police report states that, after making contact with residents, Joshua Lundberg was identified as the person responsible for the possession and dissemination of child pornography. The report, filed by Officer Scott Maffioli, said that Lundberg agreed to provide an audio recorded statement “in which he took full responsibility for downloading child pornography to his laptop computers.” Lundberg said he saved the images and video of child pornography and shared the files over a peer-to-peer file sharing network.

Further, the report said that Lundberg admitted to exposing his penis to a 20-month-old family member.

During the search, police found a lifelike baby doll in Lundberg’s bedroom next to his bed. Investigators also reported finding about 10 assorted fighting knives, some double sided, in the bedroom.

According to the Boston Herald, Lundberg worked part time at the Westborough Tennis and Swim Club. His brother, Jeffrey Lundberg, is the General Manager the Oak Street club. The club issued a public statement which reads, in part, “We are troubled and upset by the allegations against him. There is no evidence or allegation of any misconduct on his part while he was employed."

Lundberg is due back in court on March 1.
