A man allegedly tried cashing a stolen check at the Avidia Bank on East Main Street this morning, Westborough Police say.

Police arrested Kyle Piso, 21, of 198 Ayer Road, Shirley at the bank, at 100 East Main St., and charged him with uttering a false check and forgery and attempted larceny over $250, Police Chief Alan Gordon said in a press release.

"Officers were able to contact the Boxborough company where the check was from. They confirmed that they had not issued a check to Piso," Gordon said.

Piso was at the bank when police responded there at 11:50 a.m., he said.

Officers Tyson Delong, Michael Daniels and LeeAnne Baker arrested Piso.
