The Algonquin varsity girls basketball team defeated host Westborough, 54-29, in a semi-final game of the 11th Annual Westborough Invitational Tournament at Westborough High School on Tuesday night, WHS Athletic Director Johanna DiCarlo said.
Algonquin will play Holy Name in the tournament championship game at 7 p.m. Friday at Westborough High, DiCarlo said.
Holy Name defeated Doherty, 56-33, in a semi-final game Tuesday night, she said.
In the other two semi-final games, Franklin defeated Quaboag, 66-44. And Shepherd Hill defeated Millbury, 61-33.
The tournament opened Sunday.
