The Patch Puppy has prizes for you today at the Westborough Spring Festival!

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events, reminders and odd little ditties to help you organize your day. What will you be doing today?

1. The Spring Festival takes place on Bay State Green today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by and give a hug to the Patch Puppy!

2. A Spring rummage sale takes place at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 183 West Main St. beginning at 9 a.m. Open to the public.

3. The Westborough Civic Club invites to the 2012 Fishing Challenge. The fun starts at 9 a.m. at Minuteman Park, Upton Road. All ages are welcome. Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

4. There is a hanging basket sale taking place at Westborough High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

5. The Appalachia Service Project team is holding a car wash and vacuum today at 9:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 120 West Main St. The cost is $10. Money raised will be used to fund a team of 90 youth and adults from St. Luke’s Church and the First United Methodist Church as they travel to West Virginia in July to repair homes for needy families.
