5 Things You Need to Know Today: July 25

The Willows Summer Concert Series continues tonight with the John Penny Band.

 

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events, reminders and odd little ditties to help you organize your day. What will you be doing today?

1. The August Special Town Meeting Warrant has been posted on the town's website. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tues., Aug. 7, in the Westborough High School auditorium and gymnasium, 90 West Main St. To view the warrant, click here.

2. Two meetings will be held in the Forbes Municipal Building today. The Insurance Advisory Committee will meet at 2 p.m. For more information, click here. The Conservation Commission will hold a Property Inventory Sub-Committee meeting at 7 p.m. To view the agenda, click here.

3. The Willows 2012 Summer Concert Series continues tonight with the John Penny Band at 7:15. The Willows at Westborough is at 1 Lyman St. Admission is free. Parking will be at nearby Hastings Elementary.

4. An Artist Reception for Westboro Art Gallery member Pat Paxson will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Tatnuck Bookseller. The exhibition will run through Aug. 16. For more information on the artist, click here.

5. Voting continues through Aug. 17 for the Readers' Choice categories we've selected for Westborough. You've probably noticed on our homepage a story that shows you all of the categories for which we're seeking votes.
