Rachel Spring, a member of the Class of 2015 at Skidmore College, received academic recognition at the college this spring. She is the daughter of Howard and Carolyn Spring of Westborough .

Spring was selected for membership in the Periclean Honors Forum, which works to strengthen intellectual life at Skidmore and especially to encourage the academic aspirations of highly motivated and talented students. Formal membership in is based on academic accomplishment.

Academic prizes were awarded during Honors Convocation, Skidmore's annual celebration of academic achievement. College President Philip A. Glotzbach, Director of Periclean Honors Forum and Professor of English Catherine Golden, Associate Professor of Classics Michael Arnush, Associate Professor of Spanish Grace Burton, and Vice President for Academic Affairs Susan A. Kress were among those awarding prizes to students at the event, which took place in early May on campus.
