Commuter Rail On-Time Performanc​e for Westboroug​h Rider on the Worcester Line Continues to Excel

The Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail Company (MBCR) today announced that the Worcester line posted a 98.2% contractual on-time performance (OTP) rate in June, surpassing the required goal of 95%.

Accounting for factors within MBCR's control, the Worcester line has exceeded its contractual OTP goal of 95% in every month in 2012. The Worcester line is currently running 98.4% OTP for the year. The Worcester line reached as high as 98.9 % OTP in April.

I almost fell on the tracks when I saw new electronic signage in Westborough displaying the exact time trains were expecting to arrive. I won't have to look for my am radio any more. What could be next? A capacity to park over night or for multiple days? Cafe cars? Boggles the imagination :-)
